ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Director to lead sales efforts at our fast-paced digital marketing agency. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and expanding our presence in the Latin American market.

Success in this role requires deep expertise in digital marketing, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Your ability to identify and secure new opportunities will be instrumental in our agency’s continued growth.

Candidates must reside in Mexico, be legally authorized to work in the country, and be fluent in both Spanish and English. Travel to Mexico City likely.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive digital sales growth in the Latin American market, targeting key markets and segments.
  2. Conduct outbound sales prospecting activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking.
  3. Develop and create customized presentations and proposals in response to briefs or Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from potential clients, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with their specific needs and highlight the unique value of our products or services.
  4. Manage and nurture inbound leads, responding promptly, qualifying leads, and guiding them through the sales process.
  5. Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively managing the sales pipeline, converting leads, and closing deals.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and competitors, conducting market research and analysis for identifying new business opportunities.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  8. Maintain accurate sales records, provide regular reports and performance analysis to management.

ABOUT YOU

  1. 8–10 years of sales experience in the communications and marketing industry, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  2. Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role, with the ability to hire, train, and manage high-performing sales professionals.
  3. In-depth knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, and email marketing, along with familiarity with data analytics and marketing automation tools.
  4. Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and meet business objectives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify market opportunities and create effective solutions.
  5. Passion for achieving and surpassing sales targets, with a strong ability to negotiate contracts, close deals, and build long-term client relationships.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  7. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
