Our products are used by hundreds of Content Providers and Service Operators in the five continents: WARNER MEDIA, NBC UNIVERSAL, SONY, ATRESMEDIA, PARAMOUNT, DIRECTV among them. 90% of internet traffic related to Online TV in Latin America goes through Toolbox.

What are we looking for?
DevOps is an extremely technical, demanding team that functions at the center of the company business objectives. We are obsessively focused on maintaining high availability for all of the services we manage, while also implementing the infrastructure solutions that our product teams need in order to succeed.
To accomplish this, we have implemented a cutting edge private cloud environment on top of our own infrastructure composed from Linux hosts running a variety of open source software like NGINX, NodeJS, MongoDB, Elasticsearch among others. In order to maintain and manage these services, we have also built a configuration management toolset based on Ansible to load and run everything, and a monitoring architecture leveraging Zabbix to let us know when things break. As a DevOps engineer, you will be constantly presented with new challenges with an enormous scope and endless variety. On any given day, you might be troubleshooting a performance degradation for one of our critical SaaS services, writing automation code, designing the system architecture for a new platform service, implementing new monitoring logic, etc. We are looking for a technology generalists with strong bias to action, excellent analytical skills, and a taste for good engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and optimize live streaming architectures using industry-standard protocols such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP, and SRT.
2. Maintain and enhance encoding and transcoding workflows with tools like FFmpeg and Shaka Packager.
3. Deploy, configure, and manage streaming servers to ensure seamless content delivery.
4. Monitor and troubleshoot streaming quality, latency, and infrastructure issues in real time.
5. Develop automation scripts and tools using Bash, Python, or similar languages to improve efficiency and reliability.
6. Integrate streaming solutions into cloud and hybrid environments.
7. Implement best practices for adaptive bitrate streaming, content delivery, and infrastructure scaling.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in live streaming technologies and protocols.

Required Skills:

1. Strong understanding of streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH, CMAF, RTMP, WebRTC, SRT).
2. Hands-on experience with open-source encoding and streaming tools.
3. Solid knowledge of Linux system administration and command-line proficiency.
4. Familiarity with network protocols, packet analysis, and troubleshooting streaming-related issues.
5. Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python for automation.
6. Understanding of adaptive bitrate streaming and low-latency architectures.
7. Knowledge of containerization and cloud-based streaming solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure).
8. Ability to diagnose and resolve encoding, packaging, and live-streaming issues.
9. English: Advanced.
10. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK stack) for streaming analytics.
11. Exposure to SSAI (Server-Side Ad Insertion) and DRM solutions.
12. Contributions to open-source media streaming projects.
