The DB specialist has the ultimate responsibility of physical and applicative database administration activities supporting the end-to-end life cycle of the product from a database perspective.

What will your job look like?

• Suggest, design & improve existing database platforms to create added value to the company customer.
• Design, develop and administer very large (greater than 1 Terabyte) production Oracle databases. Must have a minimum of 6+ years’ experience on large production systems.
• Knowledge of tuning SQL code.
• Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases.
• Management and maintenance of backups & recovery procedures. Expert knowledge of recovery scenarios and configuration of backup using RMAN and BCV/Flash copy.
• Provide support and assistance to the development team in the design, development, testing, tuning, and implementation of database applications.
• Very good knowledge of Unix and understanding of Unix administration concepts like RAID, semaphores, and OS memory management.
• Knowledge of any one replication technology like Goldengate and cluster technology like RAC.
• Preferably have working knowledge of other RDBMS like SQL-Server.
• Knowledge of the telecom domain or past experience in Amdocs technologies preferred.
• Experience in managing POC (Proof of Concept) of new technologies, third-party, and new versions.
• Coordinate releases and patches, working with the infra team in the development center.
• Direct team while delivering on time with high quality.
• Ensure the ongoing operation of the DB infrastructure according to the definitions and needs of the projects.

All you need is...

• Bachelor / B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent.
• 6+ years’ experience as a DBA and SQL knowledge in a software company.
• Experience in Production Support Oracle DBA.
• Experience in Oracle RAC Administration.
• Experience in Oracle Golden Gate Administration.
• Experience in Oracle Data Guard Administration.
• Experience in Oracle Performance and Tuning.
