Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Development Lead will lead a team of Software Engineers and Database Developers in the execution of several projects; as well as, collaborating with a team of data analysts, data engineers, and visualization developers to produce simpler, faster, and more insightful solutions for supply chain performance managers, decision makers, specialists and frontline personnel.

Your Impact

As Data Lead your responsibilities would consist of:

The Development Lead’s primary responsibilities include:

  1. Provide technical expertise and mentorship, guiding the team in data modeling, database design, and development processes. Collaborate with team members to create, enhance, and maintain business-owned dashboards, ETL processes, reports, tools, and custom web applications.
  2. Lead the design and construction of new MS SQL Server and Oracle database objects, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. Oversee the implementation of database solutions, ETL processes, and web tools, ensuring alignment with project requirements and scalability for future needs.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver technological solutions within established timelines and quality standards. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, fostering transparent communication and meeting project objectives.
  4. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the development lifecycle, implementing best practices and standardized workflows. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback, and adapting development processes based on lessons learned and industry trends.

Qualifications

¿Who Are We Looking For?

Experience required:

  1. Fluent in English
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business systems or information technology
  3. 2+ years of relational database development experience (MS SQL Server or Oracle preferred)
  4. Advanced SQL skills
  5. 2+ years of experience in optimizing database performance
  6. Ability to translate business requirements or business process descriptions into data relationships suggested database objects, and recommended supportive database functionality (e.g., stored procedures, indexes, triggers, etc.)
  7. 2+ years of working with uses and general best practices of stored procedures, indexes, functions, views, and triggers.
  8. 1+ years of experience creating or executing ETL processes is a plus
  9. Experience with JSON is a plus
  10. Experience with Python, JavaScript, or other programming language(s) is a plus.
  11. Experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI is a plus
  12. Knowledge of Databricks is a plus
