The Opportunity

Your Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

1. The candidate will be responsible for data design, management, and development as part of building out new and vital platforms and products for the team.
2. Strong development & programming experience in Informatica (IICS), Python, Azure Synapse, Cosmos, and Databricks.
3. Solid understanding of databases, real-time integration patterns, and ETL/ELT best practices.
4. Responsible for ensuring enterprise data policies, best practices, standards, and processes are followed.
5. Accountable for designing and implementing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and incrementally move the data ecosystem to the future state.
6. Write up and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and process flows.
7. Mentor a team of onshore and offshore development resources to analyze, design, construct, and test software development projects focused on analytics and data integration.
8. Elaborate user stories for the technical team and ensure that the team understands the deliverables.
9. Effectively communicate, coordinate & collaborate with business, IT architecture, and technical teams across multi-functional areas to complete deliverables.
10. Provide direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project.
11. Assist in Data Architecture design, tool selection, and data flows analysis.
12. Work with large amounts of data, interpret data, analyze results, perform gap analysis, and provide ongoing reports.
13. Handle ad-hoc analysis & report generation requests from the business.
14. Respond to data-related inquiries to support business and technical teams.

Technical Skills / Experience:

1. 4+ years of proven working experience in ETL methodologies, Data integration, and data migration.
2. Informatica IICS hands-on development skills a must.
3. Solid understanding of P&C Insurance data.
4. Technical expertise regarding data architecture, models, and database design development.
5. Fluent in various database technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Synapse, and Cosmos.
6. Strong knowledge of and experience with T-SQL, XMLs, Python, ETL frameworks, and Databricks.
7. Working knowledge/familiarity with Git version control.
8. Strong knowledge of analyzing datasets using Excel.
9. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Proficient in learning new technologies with the ability to quickly understand capabilities and work with others to guide these into development.
11. Good communication and presentation skills.
12. Solid problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
13. Knowledge & working experience with Duck Creek is an added plus.
14. Knowledge & working experience with Insurity Policy Decisions and/or IEV is an added plus.
15. Experience with JIRA.
