Data Analyst - Mexico City, Mexico (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our diverse and dynamic team. The Data Analyst will elicit and document business requirements from customers, translate business requirements into clear and concise functional Unified Modeling Language (UML) models such as class, object, activity, and sequence models and Technical Specifications. You will create application report specifications and collaborate and effectively communicate business requirements to cross-functional teams including offshore resources. You will create Requirements Breakdown Structure, estimate requirement efforts and create Requirements Work Plan. The role discusses and gathers requirements from business stakeholders including (operations, development, Project Managers and QA); designs, and builds user stories, use cases, packages, and distributes for review and approval.

Location: Mexico City, Mexico (60% Office Based with 40% Remote Flexibility)

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design and prototype GUI-based applications, optimize process flows for performance and customer experience, and leverage existing systems to meet customer requirements while proposing architecture changes.
  • Capture and document requirements in clear, concise Use Case formats, identifying risks, feasibility issues, and impacts during the elicitation process.
  • Collaborate with business and product owners to define system-level requirements for development, perform gap analysis, and document resolutions to align with project phases.
  • Manage small-to-medium projects as both project manager and business analyst, overseeing scope, cost, success metrics, resource assignments, and timelines.
  • Analyze and interpret data models to define business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate multiple initiatives in dynamic environments, synthesizing large volumes of information from stakeholders and acting as a central communicator.
  • Perform data analysis and quality control, developing new methods to ensure deliverable accuracy and addressing gaps with corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and organizational policies, aligning efforts with company strategies through collaboration with internal and external teams.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 3+ years of related experience, including proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, using tools such as Excel
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems for diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze and provide data in consumable formats and full accuracy for various levels of the company
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently after initial guidance/training
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work an average of 3 days per week from ICON's Mexico City, Mexico office
