Cost Accountant

Job Description

• Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
• Determine fixed costs (e.g., salaries, rent, and insurance).
• Plan and record variable costs (e.g., raw material purchases and operating costs).
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
• Prepare budget reports (for the company and for each department).
• Analyze and report profit margins.
• Prepare cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a cost accountant, cost analyst, bookkeeper, or similar position.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures.
• In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience with accounting software; computer skills, MS Excel in particular.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Advanced English.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant study.
