As a Continous Improvement Engineer, you will make observations and talk with managers and employees to identify performance issues. Your role requires analysis of these issues to uncover reasons or contributing factors that interfere with job performance. Performance can be limited for several reasons, including organizational structures, procedures, and resources. After causes are identified, Industrial performance leaders formulate an intervention plan to address performance gaps.

  • Manage the Process/Continuous improvement within the entity
  • Work with the Plant Management Team to develop strategy and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Lead, propose and support improvements to ensure the achievement of Process Excellence goals within the entity to increase customer satisfaction, productivity, and effectiveness
  • Provide to Plant Management Team progress synthesis of Projects & their associated savings
  • Implement continuous improvement by using appropriate methodologies
  • Organize and coordinate the deployment of sustainable Excellence in all the entity processes using improvement tools (SPS, 6 Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, SMED, ... )
  • Identify & plan projects with the different actors
  • Provide transversal animation to face the forecasted challenges in line with the entity animation system and group’s methodologies:
  • Ensure the availability of resources (people, means, budget)
  • Check the success of projects and the implementation of a continuous monitoring plan
  • In case of drift propose corrective measures and inform the relevant hierarchies
  • Roll out the prevention based on lessons learned
  • Work collaboratively with related functions to ensure all methods/processes deliver the expected benefit to customers and business bottom line
  • Coordinate the implementation of agreed changes and monitor to ensure they are robust and sustainable
  • Pilot the teams to ensure that the organization is a highly motivated and competent and lives the quality and process improvement culture
  • Share and replicate the Best Practices of Continuous Improvement
  • Promote as a standard the Industrial Excellence principles of the group: SPS / DMAIC / SIM / ….
  • Network continuously with Continuous Improvement Community

Qualifications - External

This job might be for you if you fit the following requirements:

  • University / College degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • +4 years of experience in Engineering, manufacturing, continuous improvement, or similar experience
  • Hierarchical responsibilities with associated people management & budgetary accountability. Strongly contributing to leading continuous improvement actions for the site.
  • English advance

Areas of expertise: SPS, process design, ergonomics, capacity, simulation tools, investment, cost analysis, performance

Soft Skills:
