What you’ll do:
Responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all local and international regulations related to the financial sector. This role is critical to managing legal and regulatory risks, as well as implementing policies that ensure compliance in an emerging and highly regulated financial environment.
Regulatory Compliance Supervision:
- Ensure that the company complies with all local, international, and specific regulations of each specific business case (such as KYC – Know Your Customer, and AML – Anti-Money Laundering).
- Monitor regulatory changes in the markets where the company operates and adapt internal policies to comply with new laws.
- Implement internal controls to ensure that the company's financial activities are aligned with current regulations.
Compliance Policies:
- Develop, implement, and update internal policies and procedures related to each specific business case, and financial technologies.
- Ensure company employees understand and follow compliance policies through regular training.
- Create and update compliance manuals that include regulations on the management of technological financial operations, payments, and cross-border activities.
Transaction Monitoring and Risk Management:
- Monitor financial transactions and financial technology operations to detect any suspicious or unauthorized activity, and report these cases to competent authorities if necessary.
- Evaluate internal monitoring tools that allow for identifying irregular movements in transactions.
Audit and Reports:
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure that all compliance activities are reviewed and reported appropriately.
- Generate regular reports to the board of directors, regulators, and other stakeholders on the company's compliance status.
- Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls and make recommendations for improvement.
Relationship with Regulators and Authorities:
- Maintain a close relationship with local regulators and authorities to ensure compliance and transparency in the company's operations.
- Respond to requests for information from regulatory entities and coordinate the delivery of documentation.
- Act as the main point of contact in the company for any local regulatory inquiries or inspections.
Legal and Regulatory Advice:
- Provide advice to management and other departments on regulations applicable in different jurisdictions concerning AML BIN Sponsor and FinTech.
- Work closely with legal and financial company teams to ensure operations are aligned with tax, regulatory, and financial laws.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop training programs for internal teams on local key compliance topics such as anti-money laundering (AML), terrorist financing, and KYC regulations.
- Ensure all employees are aware of the legal and regulatory risks associated with BIN Sponsor and FinTech operations.
What you’ll need:
- Academic training: Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Administration, or related areas.
- Certifications in regulatory compliance (such as CAMS, CCEP, or similar) will be valued.
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in a compliance role in financial, fintech, or technology sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, AML, KYC, GDPR, and data protection regulations.
- Experience working with regulatory authorities and managing regulatory audits.
