Job Summary:
Supports programs, policies and procedures for base, merit and incentive compensation programs for all of Nissan North America and its affiliates.
Participates in discussions at global level to identify best practices in Compensation design and planning activities and helps implement global programs at the regional level.
Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administers a wide range of compensation functions for Nissan North America. Contributes to the direction of company-wide compensation strategies, programs and practices.
- Conducts market assessments and annual salary structure adjustment assessments.
- Documents findings and collaborates on recommendations to executive management.
- Administers merit processes and off cycle pay adjustments.
- Monitors plan effectiveness and reports to HR management.
- Administers performance-based pay plans including performance measurements and procedures to track program effectiveness and return on human resource investment.
- Provides compensation support to the hiring process by reviewing candidate qualifications and making recommendations on appropriate salary proposals.
- As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of total cash compensation.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of compensation and related compliance requirements (US experience preferable).
- Thorough understanding of policy administration, practices and procedures.
- Excellent analytical, writing, networking and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Good problem solving, conflict resolution and project management skills.
Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: 2 - 4 years of professional level experience in HR or Compensation planning and program development.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Consider related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training. MBA or Compensation certification preferred.
- Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or HR platforms to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature.
- Travel: Occasional day or overnight travel.
