Your Part in It:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Leader to establish and grow our operations in Mexico City. This is a critical leadership role focused on driving the expansion of our international freight forwarding business, building a robust client base, and leading the development of air and ocean trade lanes across key global markets. You will play a vital role in shaping the commercial strategies and ensuring the success of our new office in Mexico City.

COMMERCIAL LEADER – MEXICO CITY

What the Job Entails:

  1. Market and Business Development:
    • Develop and execute a commercial strategy to grow Traffic Tech’s international freight forwarding operations in Mexico City.
    • Build and expand trade lanes with key regions, including North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
    • Identify and target key industries and clients to establish Traffic Tech as a leading freight forwarder in Mexico.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, agents, and strategic partners to ensure competitive rates and reliable service offerings.
  2. Budget and Financial Management:
    • Prepare, manage, and oversee the office’s annual budget to align with financial targets.
    • Monitor revenue and expense performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary goals.
    • Report financial performance to senior leadership and provide strategies for improvement as needed.
  3. Sales and Customer Acquisition:
    • Lead the sales efforts to acquire new clients and retain existing customers.
    • Negotiate contracts and service agreements, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
    • Collaborate with global sales teams to develop global freight solutions and maximize revenue potential.
  4. Operational Coordination:
    • Work closely with Traffic Tech’s operations and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution of air and ocean shipments.
    • Monitor service performance and troubleshoot any operational challenges, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
    • Stay informed about international trade regulations, customs procedures, and market trends to guide operational and strategic decisions.
  5. Leadership and Team Building:
    • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team specializing in international freight forwarding sales and operations.
    • Build a culture of collaboration and excellence, ensuring alignment with Traffic Tech’s global standards and values.
    • Provide regular performance updates to senior management, highlighting key achievements and growth opportunities.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Extensive knowledge of the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on air and ocean services.
  • Proven experience in building and developing international trade lanes.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in sales and business development in the Mexican market.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build long-term partnerships.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

This is a full-time permanent position: Monday to Friday and training provided onsite.
