This position will be based in Monterrey and will report to the Head of Distribution:

Position requires the following abilities and experience:

  • 10+ years of experience leading brokers / agents teams
  • Strong relationships with Brokers and Clients in Monterrey
  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
  • Teamwork, negotiation skills, work under pressure, commitment, problem solving
  • Outstanding level of Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook capabilities
  • Process optimization, good communication, proactive, ability to prioritize, client service
  • Adequate control of financials / pipeline
  • Able to operate within a fast-paced industry and being able to adapt to change in a demanding commercial environment
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to translate data, insight and ideas into actionable, results-oriented strategies with producers / sponsors
  • Recognizing opportunities for optimization throughout the process and implementing changes when and where required
  • Team player
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to assess needs of brokers and clients base and turn those needs into winning client acquisition and retention strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to meet industry market needs
  • Multinational experience preferred
  • General Insurance knowledge

Job Responsibilities:

  • Broker Engagement – developing strategic relationships with the Global / International brokers across all client segments
  • Alternative distribution - Explore and engage Affinity local teams in bancassurance, affinity and sponsored distribution strategies
  • Wholesale distribution – to support the development of our reinsurance opportunities across the Northern territory
  • Distribution Data & Analytics – Lead and engage with local Analytics team to develop appropriate indicators to help BDMs in the northern territory
  • Collaborate with Head of Distribution and CBE leaders, to ensure we clearly articulate and differentiate AIG’s risk appetite and value proposition in the market and consolidate Producer Compensation Committee (PCC) NSC referrals related to assigned brokers
  • Ensure alignment of business strategies and activities with the requirements of applicable local regulations and corporate guidelines
  • Implement and utilize Distribution best practices across all channels to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability
  • Team leadership: Superior people leader; a relationship developer and team builder; a strong focus on talent and leadership development; someone who attracts and develops high-caliber talent and who builds diverse, high-performing teams
  • Results orientation
  • Strong influencing and communications skills and ability to work across multiple areas of company and industries
  • Business development Managers (BDM)
