Negotiates pricing, facilitates purchases, and coordinates all activities required to purchase line side parts for NNA, NMEX, and NeDM plants. Locates and develops suppliers that can meet current and future production or non-production parts requirements. Ensures suppliers meet Nissan’s goals for quality, cost, and delivery. Coordinates with other departments to ensure an uninterrupted supply of parts to production lines and to solve supply problems. Maintains daily business support activities of department administrative support personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, international trade, administration, or related discipline.
Years of Experience:
One to three years of directly related experience at a professional level in purchasing, administration, or project management preferably.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Commodity and market knowledge. Commercial and legal regulations knowledge.
Language:
English (Business fluent).
Computer skills:
MS Office (Excel).
Soft skills:
Good communication skills - both verbal and written; interpersonal; negotiation and cost and manufacturing process analysis skills. Focus on organization objectives.
Availability to travel: Infrequent day or overnight travel, availability to travel national or international.
