Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Assistant Restaurant Pool & Beach Manager reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and is responsible for all operations connected to the Restaurant, ensuring the quality of product and level of service, resulting in superb guest experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage and oversee the restaurant & pool operation.
  2. Consistently maintain Forbes service standards.
  3. Maintain the highest levels of guest service and develop a rapport with both the hotel guests and the local clientele, meeting, and greeting guests at the Restaurant & Pool, and handling guest complaints effectively and pleasantly.
  4. Recruit & train all team members ensuring that talent selection is aligned with company values.
  5. Partner with Learning & Development Manager to strategize training plan on an annual basis to ensure Forbes standards, onboarding and all other service & compliance training are ongoing & accurately measured.
  6. Ensure highest standards of communication to all team members including Daily Rallies, weekly manager meetings, with effective use of all available communication tools.
  7. Develop & mentor the management team to ensure their growth and development is ongoing and meaningful.
  8. Understand all Team Member Handbook policies and ensure that they are enforced.
  9. Maintain overall knowledge of hotel operations including occupancy, arrivals, VIPs, GIRs, hours of operation of all areas, catering schedules and financial performance of the areas under your supervision.
  10. Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage on menus in Restaurant, Bistro & Pool Bar including service protocols/equipment, distinguishing characteristics & preparation of each food and beverage item.
  11. Manage POS and all related access & procedures.
  12. Adhere to and ensure enforcement of all compliance related matters, including labor law, alcohol policies and all other company policies.
  13. Work as an active member of the management team, creating professional relationships and active involvement with all hotel operations, including but not limited to; daily, and weekly management meetings, and support to all team members, including Manager on Duty Shifts.

Qualifications

Required

  1. Prior management experience in fine dining restaurant & pool.
  2. Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations.
  3. Experience in completing administrative tasks, to include, reporting, budgeting, project management, etc.
  4. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.

Preferred

  1. English language competency.
  2. Prior experience with Forbes standards.
