Area Manager, Operations

As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. As a servant leader, you will ensure that your team of Amazon Associates has all the tools needed to succeed in any task during a shift. Engaging with your team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance, and engagement are core functions of the role. Key job responsibilities:

1. Lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 50 Amazon Associates.
2. Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
3. Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
4. Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates.
5. Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
6. Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
7. Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality.

Minimum Requirements:

1. A completed Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
2. Fluent in English and Spanish.
3. 4+ Years of Experience in Operations and Direct management experience for employees and their performance.
4. Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
5. Willingness to work nights/days/weekends in shifts.
6. Masters Degree in Quality, Operations or Administration is a plus.
7. Management of a minimum of 20 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment).
8. Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple roles/locations.
