Our Mexico City office is looking for you! Arcadis’ Architecture & Urban Planning team has the opportunity to participate in large-scale design projects and create interesting living spaces. Our Mexico City Office has been continuously working to improve the quality of life in Latin America, the United States, and Canada, by developing several architecture projects in Mexico, Guatemala, the US, and Canada, and more than 7 Master Plans in Guatemala, 2 TOD planning projects in Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, the San Pedro Sula Urban Master Plan & the prefeasibility study for a Cable Car system in Chapultepec, among others.

Role accountabilities:

1. As part of the Mexico City Architecture & Urbanism team, you would directly collaborate with other Arcadis architectural practices in Canada, the US, and Latin America.
2. Working with the Buildings & Master Planning Team in a range of architecture, urban design, and urban planning in local and regional projects.
3. Give support and coordinate the creation of architectural designs from concept through to design development with a focus on high density, high rise residential, hospitality, and mixed-use design.
4. Assist in the preparation of overall architecture and urban design reports.
5. Preparation of accurate and readable drawings, graphics, maps, and illustrations using CAD, GIS, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp.
6. Preparation of highly graphical material such as presentations, booklets, and brochures to be used for the projects and business development.
7. Generating high quality 3D renderings or perspectives to convey all the project intentions to the client.
8. Successfully collaborate with project managers through the design process to achieve alignment with client requirements.
9. Presentation and progress reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Completed University Degree in Architecture.
2. Master’s Degree would be beneficial.
3. Spanish Native speaker and full command of the English language.
4. 5+ years of architectural design experience, preferably in high-rise mixed-use projects or with an urban approach.
5. Must have experience in high density, high rise residential and mixed-use design.
6. Multidisciplinary Interests (in Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Landscape Architecture, etc.).
7. Proven ability to balance design creativity with client requirements.
8. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
9. Must be proficient in Revit with hands-on experience at the work level.
10. Highly organized and detail oriented; proven track record of meeting project timelines.
11. Experience doing 3D high-quality renders would be beneficial.
12. Strong graphic communication/design skills.
13. Must have strong communication and teamwork skills.
14. Creative, organized, able to multitask & with an eye for detail.
15. Ability to deliver on time challenging projects and deadlines.
16. Desired skills/attitude: Critical thinking, Creativity, Work independence, Proactive, Responsible, Keen eye to detail.
