Analyst Finance

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Analyze financial results, trends and metrics on a monthly basis and meet with Division Presidents to communicate their net results. Communicate key drivers in regards to the full financial profit and loss statement (sales, AGM, customer drivers, adjustments, etc).

2. Review expenses and operating statements including COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), product and overhead costs.

3. Post a specified list of journal entries at month end.

4. Review the internal Financial Statements for errors before they are published.

5. Prepare management reports for divisions that are published to the management group one week prior to the weekly Monday night management meeting.

6. Provide specialized expertise through special projects and financial reviews.

7. Perform ROI analysis, scenario modeling, and provide decision support for future business planning decisions and investments.

8. Conduct and lead quarterly/monthly financial business reviews with Divisions and other senior management.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Relevant Work Experience:

• At least 2 years of basic Finance experience.

Additional:

• Intermediate skill level in ERP financial systems.

• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
