Accounting Analyst

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst.

What You’ll Do

Job Summary

Perform and support the monthly closing process, prepare Balance sheet Reconciliations (BSR) for Bank, Intercompany, Income, Payroll, AR intercompany, etc., invoicing for services rendered, cash application, bank transactions recording and reconciliation, creation of accounts payables for some services, payroll journal entries, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• General accounting procedures and perform the monthly closing process for Sites.
• Responsible for invoicing all intercompanies for the services rendered by the site.
• Perform the cash application for the invoices collected during the month.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations every month for different balance accounts.
• Prepare monthly income and payroll reconciliations.
• Register and analyze Hedges on a monthly basis.
• Ensure the accuracy of taxes recorded, mainly VAT.
• Generate monthly payment complements for all invoices collected to comply with tax requirements.
• Treasury, ICA & ZBA. Ensure correct recording and reconciliation in corporate ledgers.
• Prepare accruals for benefits such as EPS, Estate Tax, and Insurances.
• Actively participate in the Profit Plan process for different areas in the corporate operation.
• Prepare Intercompany Transactions, Income/Invoicing Records, and control AR and AP accounts.
• Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work.
• Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve departmental and GFSS goals. Support site, functional, or corporate initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Internal Control Audit and Statutory Audits for the sites and activities under the scope.
• Other activities assigned by supervisor or special requirements from management or company.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment in compliance with all Eaton safety standards, Life Saving Rules, and daily 5S+ requirements to help build a Zero Incident Culture.
  
  
  

• Bachelor's degree necessary.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in finance/accounting area.

• Knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements essential; sound understanding of tax regulations.
• Exposure to US GAAP / MEX GAAP reporting requirements.
• SAP Knowledge / Oracle Knowledge.
• Knowledge of E-banking platforms.

• Communication skills and teamwork capability.
• Ability to operate and deliver independently without day-to-day supervision.
