We are working with a leading financial institution seeking a strategic and hands-on AI & GenAI leader. This role will be central to shaping, governing, and driving the development of enterprise-wide AI/GenAI initiatives that align with long-term transformation goals. You will work cross-functionally across business and IT, playing a key role in enabling digital transformation through secure, scalable, and innovative AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and drive the organization’s strategic roadmap for AI and GenAI.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure responsible and compliant AI adoption.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT, championing the value of AI across the enterprise.
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration to ensure alignment of use cases and goals.
AI/GenAI Solution Development & Advisory
- Identify, evaluate, and promote innovative AI and GenAI use cases.
- Lead the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions including custom models, chatbot automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Drive initiatives using Microsoft’s AI stack (OpenAI, AI Search, Power Platform, etc.).
- Evaluate large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, LLaMA, etc., for enterprise applicability.
- Lead experimentation and prototyping efforts to accelerate learning and adoption.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure AI/GenAI implementations meet data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
- Define security controls and risk management strategies for AI deployments.
Training & Enablement
- Build and deliver training programs to equip teams with AI/GenAI tools and methodologies.
- Cultivate a community of practice to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Conduct workshops and technical talks for internal stakeholders.
Support & Maintenance
- Provide ongoing support, optimization, and enhancement of deployed AI solutions.
Experience & Qualifications
- 12+ years in IT with substantial exposure to banking/financial services.
- 8+ years in AI/ML roles, applying AI to real-world enterprise challenges.
- Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines.
- Azure certifications and familiarity with Microsoft AI technologies are preferred.
Technical Expertise
- Strong foundation in AI/GenAI technologies: ML, NLP, deep learning, generative models.
- Hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch.
- Deep understanding of LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude), agentic AI, and Azure AI tools (OpenAI, AI Search, ADLS, Cosmos DB, etc.).
- Proficiency in MLOps/DataOps, API development, and backend frameworks (Django, Express.js, Spring Boot).
- Experience with modern data platforms (NoSQL, RDBMS), ETL tools (Talend, Alteryx), and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Leadership & Strategic Influence
- Strong track record of leading AI product development and mentoring technical teams.
- Capable of translating complex AI concepts into business outcomes.
- Proven ability to build roadmaps and drive enterprise-level transformation initiatives.
Communication & Change Enablement
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and driving cultural change around AI.
- Skilled in developing and delivering training materials to non-technical users.
Governance & Ethics
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, and risk mitigation practices.
