Location: Home based, covering Kent OR Birmingham area
Starting salary: £35,339 plus excellent benefits
Role Description
This is an exciting new opportunity for a home-based mechanical engineer covering Kent or Birmingham to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services in the world.
As an Engineering Technician, you will assess a wide range of mechanical plant equipment to ensure it is continually safe to use and operate. This could range from loose lifting equipment to a submersible pump or fixed motor.
You will anticipate our client's needs and help them in ensuring that they comply with relevant legislation. You will work closely with other Engineering Technicians and will be managed by one of our Senior Operations Team Leaders. Following your inspections, you will use electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to our clients.
This role forms an integral part of our business, as you carry out hands-on non-intrusive inspections of plant and equipment within your area. Variety is the unique selling point of this role, visiting multiple locations each day and experiencing areas you would not normally have access to. The Engineering Technician role can be physically demanding and may require working at height, in confined spaces, lifting, and climbing in both hot and cold conditions. It involves exposure to noise and dust, so you need to be comfortable in a hands-on environment.
