Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering & Manufacturing team is supporting Spooner, a market-leading manufacturer of process equipment in West Yorkshire, commutable from Skipton, Ilkley, Wetherby, and surrounding areas. We are keen to speak to Welder/Fitters seeking their next opportunity. The current team is well-established and high-performing, and they are looking for additional Welder/Fitters to support their growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fabricate and assemble metal components in line with precise engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard, particularly on stainless steel.
3. Fit fabricated parts into assemblies, ensuring all components meet required specifications.
4. Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment (training available if necessary).
5. Ensure all fabricated and assembled products meet stringent quality and safety standards.
6. Carry out routine checks and maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
7. Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment at all times.
9. Proactively suggest and implement improvements in fabrication and assembly processes.
10. Follow company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Apprentice-trained in fabrication, welding, or mechanical fitting (or equivalent qualification).
2. Proficient in MIG and TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel.
3. Experience with fabrication, fitting, and assembly of metal components.
4. Some experience with robot welding equipment is beneficial, though training will be provided.
5. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and work to precise specifications.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. A willingness to learn new skills and develop within the role.
8. Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
