Job description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for our Huddersfield based client, to oversee warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods while maintaining a high standard of productivity.

Shift/salary:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 14:00-22:00
  • 8 hour shifts
  • £12.71 per hour plus weekly bonus
  • Weekly pay
  • Temporary to permanent opportunity
  • £20 per week bonus

The role:

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations and manage a team of warehouse associates.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
  • Organize and allocate tasks to team members for optimal efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory control processes.
  • Maintain clear communication with management and other departments.
  • Resolve any issues that arise within the warehouse.
  • Ensure full PPE compliance during the shift.
  • Promote safe working practices.
  • Ensure the safety of the physical environment for self, staff, and visitors to the Warehouse Department.
  • Contribute to a secure, safe, and healthy working environment (e.g., housekeeping/tidiness checks).

The candidate:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • FLT licence would be beneficial, not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport desired.
