Job description

We're looking for someone to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues both remotely and physically from our warehouse, resolving client issues, with a focus on Dell hardware!

LA Micro Group is an independent technology group, home to LA Direct Solutions and Bytestock. We build and supply quality and bespoke computers to end users, brokers, resellers, and trade while ensuring our customers meet their exact requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide timely and effective technical support to customers via email and phone.
  2. Resolve hardware build issues within the warehouse, adhering to Dell cable routing diagrams and machine specs.
  3. Communicate with sales representatives regarding issues with builds and further their understanding of products.
  4. Document and track customer issues and resolutions in our support system.
  5. Write documentation on new servers and issue resolution for internal and external use.
  6. Troubleshoot and support network configurations, including familiarity with switches and routing protocols.
  7. Apply basic knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python and Linux command line to enable customers to resolve hardware issues.
You will have:
  1. Proven experience in technical support.
  2. Strong knowledge of hardware, particularly with Dell products, network troubleshooting and switch configurations.
  3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  4. Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Desirable but not essential:
  1. Basic programming skills in C++ and Python are a plus.
  2. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, Dell) are a plus.
  3. Experience with Microsoft NAV Dynamics, Office 365, VPNs, SQL, Metabase, and MDM systems.

This role will be based in our office in Bracknell, 5 days a week: 8:45am - 17:45pm
