Job description

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children's learning and development? Schools around Norfolk are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and collaborative teams. This role begins ASAP.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Work one-to-one or with small groups of students to provide additional support.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, offering help as needed.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Assist with the general welfare of students, including in outdoor activities and during break times.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students.
  • An understanding of how to support students with varying learning needs.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development.
