The Role

As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that fosters a love for literature and language. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.

• Monitoring and supporting student progress to help them reach their full potential.

• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages academic excellence.

• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental strategy.

• Supporting the wider school community as a form tutor.

• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching standards.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS / QTLS and a relevant undergraduate degree.

• Understand effective teaching and learning strategies, particularly in diverse school settings.

• Be committed to high expectations, equality of access, and student well-being.

• Be able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

• Have excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
