Looking for a rewarding career? Look no further. We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our friendly team. As a Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred care to our elderly and vulnerable clients who live in and around the Stansted area. Help us to help them to live independently in their own homes. You can provide companionship during the day, help with their daily activities, and provide personal care.

We value our staff and recognize what a great asset they are to our company. We provide great support, relevant training, and keep travel times to a minimum between individual clients.

The role of Support Worker

The essence of the role is to be passionate about providing the best care to allow our clients to live their life their way. You will support their preferences to enable them to live happily, safely, and securely in their own homes.

What does this Support Worker job involve?

Each person has been assessed and has their own individually tailored Care and Support Plan. That may include any or all of the following:

  1. Companionship: Building relationships, providing social stimulation and emotional support, supporting their hobbies and interests, accompanying them to a variety of community activities, to the GP, dentist, or hairdressing appointments.
  2. Help with Daily Living Activities: Meal planning and preparation, assisting with prescription medication, shopping, laundry, or light housework.
  3. Personal Care: Helping an individual to bathe, wash, dress, or assist with oral care or continence care.
  4. Safeguarding: Following training, be able to identify potential signs of concern or actual abuse to those at risk.

The practical requirements for our Support Worker

Visiting and caring for people within any area requires the following:

  • Ownership of a car and a valid UK driving license. Note that the majority of our calls are 1 hour plus and no calls less than 30 minutes.
  • A commitment to flexible working shift patterns of varying duration between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm to include some weekends.
