Job description

We’re looking for a Lead Strategist stepping up into a Head of Strategy role, to help lead and develop this growing creative strategy team within this brand focused, forward thinking agency. Working closely with the design, production, and development teams you'll be responsible for shaping the future of the agency's clients' brands. Their work spans brand strategy, content, design, and digital, helping businesses connect online and offline in meaningful ways.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for setting the strategic direction for clients and the agency itself. The ideal candidate is someone who can carve narratives out of multiple inputs, help guide the team to translate cultural & audience insights into impactful brand strategies, and drive the big thinking that fuels creative execution. If you have experience at a brand, strategy, or creative agency; especially one with a deep understanding of property, landlords, and place-based brands, we want to hear from you.

The Role in a Nutshell:
Leading Strategy & Brand Thinking
  1. Develop long-term brand strategies for clients, ensuring they translate into actionable quarterly strategic initiatives.
  2. Own the intersection between digital and physical brand experiences, ensuring client brands thrive in real-world spaces.
  3. Lead strategic workshops and creative brainstorms, inspiring both internal teams and clients.
  4. Provide thought leadership - ensuring the agency is always pushing boundaries in branding, placemaking, and digital-physical integration.
Team Leadership & Development:
  1. Line manage and guide a team of 4 strategists, helping them sharpen their strategic thinking, storytelling, and client management skills.
  2. Create an environment that fosters curiosity and bold thinking, allowing strategists to develop their own perspectives while aligning with the agency's vision.
  3. Ensure strategies are insight-driven, leveraging data, cultural trends, and real-world audience behaviours.
Client & Business Leadership:
  1. Act as the senior strategic partner for key clients, working alongside the Creative Director, Production Team, and Design Team to bring brand visions to life.
  2. Be an active part of new business efforts, shaping pitches and proposals that challenge conventional brand thinking.
  3. Help shape the agency's positioning and growth, ensuring their strategy offering is best-in-class and future-focused.

  4. Operationally minded: Able to collaborate with the management team to build efficient workflows that enhance overall process development, ensuring seamless collaboration between strategy, design, production, and development teams.
  5. Culturally plugged in: Knows how to leverage audience insights, cultural shifts, and data-driven thinking to build truly resonant brands.
