We're looking for a skilled and motivated Middle Software Engineer to help develop and improve the core backend systems that power key services like authentication, billing, and API infrastructure at bunny.net - The Content Delivery platform that truly Hops! You'll be contributing to the scalability, security, and performance of the platform, collaborating with senior engineers while growing your expertise in distributed systems.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain backend services and internal APIs with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Work on authentication and billing features under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Integrate 3rd-party APIs to support product features.
• Participate in efforts to reduce abuse and improve system stability.
• Support the evolution of backend systems toward modular, service-based architecture.
• Contribute to improving the availability and fault-tolerance of APIs.

What will you add?

• At least 2 years of experience with backend development in C# and .NET.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MariaDB.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (GitHub Actions, Grafana).
• A collaborative mindset and ability to deliver independently on well-scoped tasks.

What will make us extra happy?

• Experience with time series databases like InfluxDB or Clickhouse.
• Understanding of secure authentication systems (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect).
• Exposure to billing or payment systems.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Prometheus).
