Who you are

We’re seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Apps Team who is passionate about developing and extending a core product that's positively impacting the lives of people across the world, whilst enabling healthcare professionals to perform their role as efficiently as possible.

What you’ll do

1. Own and deliver initiatives in service of quarterly/annual goals for the Apps Team
2. Work closely with engineering team members on frontend and backend tasks as a full-stack engineer, providing technical guidance and leadership
3. Participate in the entire cycle of feature development, from ideation to delivery, ensuring high-quality and maintainable solutions
4. Perform thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, and providing constructive feedback to team members
5. Be an integral part of the Apps Team, contributing to key areas such as system architecture, code quality, planning, and team collaboration
6. Actively participate in Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies, driving continuous improvement and promoting Agile principles within the team
7. Share technical knowledge and expertise with others in the organisation, fostering a culture of learning and growth
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-impact solutions

Your skills and experience

1. You have strong development and operations experience with React/Redux, Node.js, Javascript (ES6+), Typescript (Next.JS/NestJS), CSS Frameworks, and RESTful APIs
2. You have an understanding of cloud-native architecture; ideally within AWS, though relevant experience in GCP, Azure or other cloud providers is also advantageous
3. You have experience building and architecting RESTful APIs and designing API integrations
4. You have an understanding of MySQL, relational databases, and data migration
5. You are passionate about UI/UX and customer-focused development
6. You are focused on quality, creating code that is readable, scalable and secure
7. You have the discipline to test changes thoroughly
