Role overview

The Social Media Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding Ipsos' brand presence, audience reach and impact, as well as building our profile with our key audiences, including our commercial pipeline and younger people.

This role demands a strategic and creative individual with a deep understanding of social media dynamics and a passion for crafting engaging content. The successful candidate will be a data-driven leader, adept at leveraging analytics to optimise campaigns and demonstrate impact.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

What will I be doing?

These are the types of things you can expect to be doing during your day to day, although as Ipsos is a dynamic organisation, this may vary as different opportunities arise:

  1. Social Media Strategy: Create a plan to engage your target audience, including Gen Z, with content tailored to each platform. Define KPIs and a content calendar aligned with business goals.
  2. Content Management: Develop engaging content across formats, reflecting brand guidelines and organizational values.
  3. Campaign Execution: Plan and run social media campaigns to promote various initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders.
  4. Social Listening: Monitor mentions, trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and manage risks.
  5. Performance Analysis: Track metrics like engagement and reach to assess campaign effectiveness and report to stakeholders.
  6. Website Upkeep: Ensure website content is current, relevant, and engaging, collaborating to optimize user experience.
  7. Employee Advocacy: Empower employees as brand ambassadors by creating content, providing training, and tracking effectiveness.
  8. Team Collaboration: Mentor colleagues, share best practices, and represent the UK and Ireland region in social media projects.
  9. Industry Trends: Stay current on emerging platforms, tools, and best practices to keep Ipsos innovative.
  10. CEO Social Media: Develop and implement a strategy to enhance the CEO's personal brand, aligning with organizational messaging.

What do I need to bring with me?

Background:

  1. Proven track record of success in developing and implementing social media strategies in B2B organisations.
  2. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  3. Experience developing and managing employee advocacy programmes is highly desirable.

Skills:

  1. Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms and best practices.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
  3. Strong analytical skills, with experience using social media analytics tools to track performance and generate insights.
  4. Experience managing social campaigns and demonstrating ROI and impact.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong project management and organisational skills, and experience of working with senior leaders.
