Applications are invited from enthusiastic, caring individuals with an interest in Older Adult Care to join the teams in Lochaber Care Homes. Previous caring experience or experience caring for people with Dementia is advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be given.

The delivery of high standards of care is an essential part of this role. The aim of this position is to support delivery of individualised, person-centred programmes of care to residents as agreed with the Resident, Family, Registered Nurses and the Care Home Manager.

The team in Lochaber work with a Multidisciplinary approach and as such applicants must have excellent communication and team working skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly team, where you will be offered support to progress a career in care.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
