Due to continued growth in our business, we are looking for a Site Engineer to join our team to ensure construction on projects is carried out accurately and to a high standard of quality whilst maintaining satisfactory progress against the construction programme. These roles will be based on our projects within the Cheltenham/Gloucester area.

Description

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out the works to be constructed within specified tolerances and ensuring the workforce understands the setting out information provided. You will work on our highway and infrastructure projects constructing roads, footways, and cycleways in urban environments.

Your Day To Day Will Include

1. Management of Health, Safety & Environment matters of areas of direct responsibility.
2. Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of work.
3. Regularly check the setting out points, benchmarks, and calibration of instruments and measuring equipment being used.
4. Carry out as-built surveys and records of completed works.
5. Assisting in managing systems to record the quality of work completed, testing, workmanship, and materials.
6. Provide Engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries answered.
7. Complete daily diary sheets and photographic evidence as required.
8. Assist in basic planning, monitoring, and programming.
9. Control and minimise waste on site.

What Are We Looking For

1. Relevant construction-related degree/HNC.
2. Understanding of engineering principles.
3. Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
4. Experience in a Site Engineer role on similar projects.
5. Ability to use Automatic Level and EDM.
6. Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way.
7. Flexible attitude to work.
8. Problem-solving skills.
9. Holders of relevant SCS card.
10. SSSTS / SMSTS (preferable).
