Responsibilities:

1. Deliver resilient and high-volume technology solutions built in Java & Spring framework.
2. Build industry standard and resilient data streaming solutions using technologies like Kafka and Snowflake.
3. Help in designing data pipelines which are scalable, both with new business requirements as well as data volume requirements in the future.
4. Understand and develop fault-tolerant applications with error handling mechanisms for minimum downtime in production.
5. Knowledge of coding techniques to contribute to the reliability, maintainability, readability, simplicity, performance, security (understanding of OWASP), and testability of software.
6. Work within various database technologies including both relational and non-relational implementations (SQL and NoSQL).
7. Work with DevOps specialists to design monitoring dashboards and alerts for effective monitoring and alerting setup for the team.

What you will need to have:

1. B.Sc. in Computer Science or other equivalent technical discipline.
2. Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in designing, developing, and implementing software applications in an Agile environment.
3. Recent experience working with teams delivering with Java/Spring Frameworks, Spring Boot.
4. Great knowledge of messaging architectures including Kafka, MQ, and ESB technologies.
5. 4+ years hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing object-oriented code.
6. A high level of proficiency working with modern CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
7. Experience with API integrations & performance tuning.

What would be nice to have:

1. Financial/banking sector experience, especially knowledge of payments industry ideal (ISO8583, POS etc.) is an advantage.
2. Cloud Migration (Azure/PCF/Openshift/AWS)
3. Experience with Splunk
4. Experience with Grafana, Dynatrace etc.
5. Recent experience in developing 12 Factor cloud native services
6. A solid understanding of complex IT environments, including networking, databases, security, and performance.
7. Networking: Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
