Are you currently working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a fresh challenge or a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career?

We have partnered with a longstanding client at Kenton Black who is going through a sustained period of growth and is looking to bolster their commercial team by bringing in multiple Senior Quantity Surveyors within London to oversee all commercial aspects of major projects across London! One of these Senior Quantity Surveyors will require experience working in fire safety within the M&E sector.

My client is a leading M&E and Telecoms contractor within the civil engineering and rail sector working on many major projects across London and the Midlands.

These Senior Quantity Surveyor roles will be reporting directly to a Commercial Manager. These roles will be looking after various projects across the London area. The business has a very strong order book for the next 18-24 months with further growth predicted as well as genuine career opportunities.

Role Purpose:

1. Work with and support the Project Manager(s) on a daily basis to ensure projects are meeting commercial and financial targets.
2. Build strong and collaborative relationships with your client and supplier counterparts.
3. Contribute to regular and accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager on/for: PHR/CVR/Cash Flow/Weekly Updates etc.
4. Accountable and responsible for the project budget and to determine regular commercial forecasts.
5. Carry out valuations for the purpose of initial, interim, and final payment applications.
6. Manage project sub-contractor and supplier accounts in line with the agreed subcontracts and to align with any upstream contractual requirements.
7. Identify, notify, value, and agree change (variations, compensation events, claims).
8. Work with the Commercial Manager to maximise the recovery of all contractual entitlements.
9. Ensure the Works are managed in accordance with the terms of the contract and any conditions precedent therein, not least regarding the times for giving notices and making applications.
10. Ensure that all contemporary records are kept by the project team members for use in supporting claims, extensions of time, and the evaluation of variations.
11. Support any tender processes as required.
12. Promote and maintain professional working relationships.
13. Identify project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimise the commercial effect of said risk.

On offer is a very lucrative salary and package as well as the opportunity to join a very reputable contractor. This role is paying up to £85,000 plus company package.
