Job description

Here on the Capita DSA team, we have an excellent opportunity for someone to join us as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist. We are looking for someone with a background in carrying out medical or DSA assessments who is looking for the next step in their career, one where they are able to work side by side with team members to drive quality, identify training needs and ensure that we are able to deliver right first-time outcomes to our clients.

This person will be responsible for reviewing the reports generated by the wider DSA team, assessing these to ensure that we have covered all of the criteria laid out for us by our client. You will also work with management within this team to flag any training needs that you have identified so that we are able to drive quality and ensure that the students that we are working with have a speedy and accurate assessment.

As part of our commitment to building an inclusive and diverse workforce, we would particularly welcome applications from people who are from Black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Assigned cases and assessments for review across the DSA team.
  2. Carrying out reviews and quality checks to ensure that we are including the right information and delivering reports that are fit for purpose when it comes to assessing disabled students' needs.
  3. Feeding back to management around training gaps that have been identified or if there are elements of the system that we use that can be improved to drive right first-time within the reports that we submit.
  4. Working within a small but knowledgeable QA team to ensure that these reviews are carried out in a timely manner.

What we’re looking for:

  1. Medical or DSA assessment experience is essential.
  2. Ideally some quality assurance experience; however, all training in this element will be provided.
  3. The ability to manage own workload.
  4. High level of customer focus.

What’s in it for you?

  1. A salary of £37,000.
  2. Fully home-based role.
  3. Scope to learn and develop.

We’ll take claimants through the process, from carrying out their study needs assessment and recommending support, to delivering equipment and providing training. Our specially trained assessors will carry out a professional assessment, making it clear what they can expect from us and what they will need to do in return.

At Capita, we’re committed to providing an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment process and working environment for everyone. We want everyone to have the best chance of succeeding as they move through their application and start their career with us. We are an equal opportunity and Disability Confident employer; we want to hear from you if you’d like to discuss any adjustments you might need during your recruitment process.
