Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join PM Group working for us in our vibrant Manchester office.
Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Manchester
Contract: Full time - Permanent
Reporting to the Director of Projects and working with the Project Manager(s) on a daily basis, you will be responsible for:
- Co-ordinating the design activities of multi-discipline design teams on large projects or a portfolio of smaller projects.
- Independently project managing smaller or less complex projects and assignments within the office.
- Ensuring effective communication with design teams, management teams, and the client.
- Coordinating design teams to ensure design quality is delivered.
- Developing and implementing multi-discipline design programmes.
- Chairing design progress meetings.
- Ensuring engineering activities are carried out in line with business processes.
- Previous Engineering or Consultancy experience.
- Degree or equivalent in a related subject (e.g. mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical/control/instrumentation engineering).
- Working towards or already achieved chartered engineer status.
- Specific sector-related experience including Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy & Environmental, and Gas.
- UK project experience including some exposure to construction and installation activities.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant UK design standards.
- Commercial awareness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
