Overview
The role is responsible for driving improvements in functional performance through the identification, definition and implementation of key information, data and metrics that will enable Buyers to be more effective. The role uses external insight to identify best practice and then develops key enablers – cost models, dashboards, volatility analysis, coverage analysis and market research information – that enhance procurement operations, promote supplier excellence, and ensure alignment with organisational goals for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to embed use of the key enablers across the procurement function.

Qualifications
We need a strategic thinker who is both focused on external trends and has extensive knowledge of the full range of procurement tools, techniques and accountabilities. A strong understanding of analytics, data, modelling and how to maximise use of these tools to drive performance both within the function and with suppliers is essential. Exposure to commodity risk management and associated tools and techniques is also required. Highly effective interpersonal skills, excellent negotiation, strong communication and influencing skills to all organisational levels, are required to be successful in this role.
