We’re searching for a Senior Power BI Engineer to join our Data Platform team, so that we can design, develop, and implement advanced BI solutions. The Senior Power BI Engineer will lead the creation of Power BI reports and dashboards, optimize data visualization performance, and work closely with stakeholders to provide impactful data-driven insights that contribute to the success of key business initiatives.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

1. Leading the development and optimization of complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for automated deployment.
2. Optimizing report performance, automating data refresh processes, and ensuring data availability.
3. Configuring and maintaining user authentication settings through Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to enable Single Sign-On (SSO) and manage user roles and permissions.
4. Designing and managing Row-Level Security (RLS) for Power BI datasets to ensure data security and role-based access control.
5. Working closely with business stakeholders to understand and define data requirements for insightful reporting.
6. Advocating for Power BI adoption by promoting its benefits and capabilities to business stakeholders.
7. Configuring Power BI to enable and optimize complex user journeys, ensuring seamless data access and personalized experiences.
8. Ensuring compliance with data security standards and industry best practices.
9. Troubleshooting, optimizing, and refining Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.
10. Providing mentorship and coaching to junior team members.
11. Staying up to date with the latest Power BI trends, technologies, and industry developments.

What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having

1. 5+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
2. Expertise in configuring and managing user authentication through Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), and managing roles and permissions within Power BI.
3. Solid experience in data modeling and implementing DAX calculations.
4. Experience with integration of various Microsoft Fabric components.
5. Proficiency in SQL and proven experience with data warehouses and integration tools.
6. Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) Core to create, test, and deploy data transformations.
7. Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization for Power BI and SQL queries.
8. Ability to architect end-to-end BI solutions and visualization layers.
9. Familiarity with analytics and machine learning concepts for deeper data insights is a plus.
10. Certifications in Power BI (or equivalent) are highly desirable.
11. A knack for working collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
