Senior Pensions Administrator – DB Schemes

A leading UK Financial Services Group that provides Pension & Investment Consultancy services to many of the UK’s largest Companies is looking to recruit into their expanding and continually developing Pension Administration Team. The team you would be joining in Perth has around 60 members of staff and is run with a small company welcoming feel where everyone makes contributions and is very visible within the team.

The company offers training & development programmes and qualification sponsorship for those looking to progress (not compulsory). The Perth Operations Manager is proactive in helping and encouraging development and is very passionate about supporting her teams whether that be career development, working environment, or individual needs.

Specifics of the role include:

  1. Provide technical Pensions Administration services to a portfolio of clients, calculate, and make payments of scheme benefits.
  2. Training new members of staff and helping more junior members of the team. Help mentor and develop their knowledge and understanding.
  3. Check and authorise other team members’ work.
  4. Taking on and managing client project requirements.
  5. Under the application of benefit structures, trust deed & rules, and pensions legislation.
  6. Provide support to the Administration Manager, helping the department meet deadlines.
  7. Handling queries from HMRC and DWP. Liaise confidently with clients, scheme actuaries, and other third parties.
  8. Ensure compliance checking is maintained and the team works to legislative requirements.
  9. Answer technical queries from members by phone, e-mail, and letter.
