Salary: £51,000 - £57,000 + Pension + Extensive Benefits

The Company

My client is a world leading manufacturer of processing and packaging technology to a wide variety of industries. With a worldwide presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become a centre of excellence within a variety of machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the FMCG market, they have the need to recruit an additional design engineer.

Key Skills

Degree in Mechanical or Similar Engineering
Working Knowledge of 3D CAD - Ideally SolidWorks
Design/Development Engineering Experience

The Role

Senior mechanical design engineer responsible for design of special purpose machinery using SolidWorks. Attend specification meetings with global customers for design aspect of projects UK and internationally.

Design and development of customers specifications
Take the lead in the mechanical design aspects of the projects
Contribute creative ideas, producing concepts, producing design schemes.
Produce parts lists, assembly drawings and detail drawings.
Complete engineering design on time to the project plan.
Be aware of cost targets in design, purchasing, and assembly.
Liaise with stakeholders and projects.
