DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Freight Team provides transportation services for external shippers that use the logistics network we built for Amazon to deliver freight safely, on time, and at competitive costs. We offer shippers access to the same network of carriers, technology infrastructure, and tools that Amazon uses to move thousands of loads daily. Businesses of all sizes have access to the costs and levels of service of one of the largest shippers in the world. Amazon Freight spins Amazon's broader flywheel by utilising empty miles by bringing in freight that flows complementary to our existing network.

Amazon is looking for a Senior Manager with strong problem-solving, creativity, and operational rigour to lead the Amazon Freight Full Truck Load Operations and Support team. As a Senior leader, you will be responsible for driving key improvements and enhancements to Amazon Freight's existing operations. A successful candidate should be able to see the big picture to find the best solution for Amazon, think long term, and influence Senior Leadership.

Key job responsibilities

1. Provide leadership to and deliver results through the Amazon Freight Operations and Shipper Support Team.
2. Shape the operational strategy for Amazon Freight Full Truck Load.
3. Together with your team, identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for the business, assessing the impact on the existing setup and defining the trade-offs between customer experience and cost.
4. Be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical business initiatives.
5. Together with your team, manage all aspects of the project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation plan.
6. Manage key communication to Senior Stakeholders.
7. Work cross-functionally with senior leadership of stakeholder teams to ensure alignment.
8. Collaborate with the development teams, be responsible for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in team management.
2. Experience in supply chain.
3. Bachelor's degree.
4. Sound business judgment and proven ability to influence stakeholders with different priorities and different functions including but not limited to technology, legal, and finance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
2. MBA.
3. Experience working with, presenting to, and influencing senior executives up to VP level.
4. Experience scaling product or programs globally.
