Job Purpose

We are setting up a new team to support our platform and we want a Senior Frontend Developer to join the new team early on in the process to work and take an active role in designing the implementation of a new greenfield web app frontend for the platform.

Job Duties

1. Write clean, maintainable and scalable code that meets the requirements of the project
2. Debug and resolve software issues, including fixing bugs and optimizing performance
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Designers, Testers, Project Managers and Product Owners, to deliver high-quality software
4. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
5. Implement and follow software development processes, including Agile and Scrum methodologies
6. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and methods, applying this knowledge to improve software development processes
7. Document software design, code and test procedures
8. Participate in the estimation of software development projects
9. Participate in customer and end-user interactions to gather requirements and provide support
10. Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals and help systems
11. Mentor Junior Developers and assist with their professional development

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1. Have proven experience in a similar role on a similar scale system
2. Expert knowledge of ES2015
3. Proven experience with ReactJS
4. Experience writing middlewares in Node.js
5. Use of build tools, particularly Webpack
6. Unit and functional testing is a big bonus
7. CSS pre-processing with Sass
8. Significant plus if you’ve got any .NET experience
9. Experience working in an Agile environment
10. Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
11. Experience in the gaming industry is a significant advantage
12. An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
13. Hard working and willing to go above and beyond learning new skills
14. Love working as part of a team and collaborating with others
15. An interest in troubleshooting and problem solving

What is in it for me?

£50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

Flexi-time (start anywhere between 7am and 10am)
