An established industry player is seeking a qualified actuary to join their Balance Sheet Oversight team. This pivotal role involves developing liquidity risk management frameworks and providing critical insights into financial resilience and capital management. Location: This role could be based in either our London, Wythall or Edinburgh offices with time spent working in the office and at home.
Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.
Closing Date: 25.3.25
Salary and benefits: Up to £115,000 dependant upon experience plus an indicative bonus range of 30%-60%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.
The role:
This is a key role within the Balance Sheet Oversight team that sits within the Line 2 Financial Risk team. The Balance Sheet Oversight team supports the Financial Risk Director in ensuring the effectiveness of financial risk management across the Group. Responsibilities of the team encompass oversight of liquidity and capital management, climate risk (sustainability) and with-profits management. The team also develops and embeds the Group’s Risk Appetite Framework and Stress & Scenario Testing Framework, leads on the financial risk assessment within the ORSA and coordinates Recovery and Resolution planning.
