Senior Electrical Design Engineer

I have just had a new opportunity come across my desk for an experienced and dynamic senior electrical design engineer with a well established medium sized building services consultancy based in Reading. Their electrical design services include the electrical supplies for buildings covering HV and LV power, generators and UPS systems, lighting, fire alarm and fire suppression systems, access control, intruder detection, CCTV and alarms, data and telecommunication cabling.

They require your skill set as a senior electrical design engineer with broad based experience across a range of sectors with good computer and communication skills. Familiarity with TAS, Cymap, Amtech, AutoCAD software packages would be an advantage, but training will be given if necessary. They handle a variety of projects including mostly residential, hotel, commercial and data centre with some leisure, retail and education. This gives you the chance to work on a range of projects which helps develop your career within a well established consultancy with the support of a medium sized team around you through the electrical side of the projects. They handle projects for clients such as M&G, Vodafone, Fujitsu, BBC, British Airways, European Centre for Mid-Range Weather Forecasts, Allianz, GSK.

They offer an attractive benefits package which includes full sickness/injury pay, and they will match additional personal contributions up to 4% of annual salary. Mileage is paid at £0.45 pence per mile up to 10,000 miles.
