We are working in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions to their needs by applying genuinely new ways of working. You will have the opportunity to be involved in some of the largest and most iconic projects across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a global engineering firm that is expanding in the UK. You will work within professional and collaborative teams all with the same aim of delivering world-class solutions for our clients and the communities around us. On a personal level, you will learn and develop, and our goal is to aid your career progression and increase your job satisfaction.

Playing an important role in our highly integrated Archaeology and Heritage team, depending on your experience and skills you may undertake client liaison, negotiation with LPA archaeological/heritage advisors, project management, risk analysis, data searches, research, mapping and archaeology and heritage screening and desk-based assessments for a wide range of schemes. You will undertake and be part of the provision of high-quality historic environment consultancy advice and formulation of archaeological and heritage site mitigation strategies for small through to nationally important schemes. The scope of your work will vary greatly with new challenges presenting themselves regularly.

About You

You will have a degree in archaeology or a heritage-related subject and ideally, you will be a corporate member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and/ or Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) or working towards it within twelve months of appointment.

You will have sound multi-period knowledge of the British archaeological resource and the UK's legislative, consultancy and national planning policy framework. You will have excellent report writing skills and preferably experience with GIS. Most importantly, you’ll embody our values and ethos of client focus and service excellence.

The friendly and collaborative culture at Stantec is something we are proud of and we have many other reasons for you to be excited about joining us. We can offer a competitive salary and benefits package, agile and flexible working arrangements, industry-leading training, great projects, and lots more!
