SAP Senior Solution Architect

+12 months contract opportunity

+Hybrid working in Reading

+Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Solution Architect to lead the functional architecture and business process transformation for a major S/4HANA implementation. This is a client-side role, working in a multi-vendor environment, ensuring SAP solution and implementation best practices are applied. You will actively participate in governance boards, run working groups, and prepare decision papers for Technical and Business Design Authority approval.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide SAP solution and implementation expertise, ensuring alignment with business transformation objectives.
2. Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and contribute to SAP roadmap and blueprinting strategies.
3. Act as a trusted advisor across SAP functional architecture, ensuring seamless integration across modules.
4. Support programme governance, preparing key decision documents and advising stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, bridging technical and business perspectives.

Experience Required

1. Extensive experience as an SAP Solution Architect, with a focus on functional architecture and business process transformation.
2. Proven track record in SAP S/4HANA implementations, including SAP Activate methodology and Agile approaches.
3. Strong expertise in SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM, or HR.
4. Deep understanding of SAP business processes, integration points, and best practices.
5. Experience working in multi-vendor environments and enterprise architecture frameworks.
6. Familiarity with SAP Cloud, RISE with SAP, and deployment strategies (conceptual knowledge preferred).
7. Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
8. Strong documentation, governance, and SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) experience.
