**Pre-Sales Solutions Architect**Remote - EMEA / Commercial We offer The Tyk API Management platform is helping to drive the connected world and power new products and services. We’ve started by building an API Management platform. ****Total flexibility, default remote, radical responsibility****If this sounds like an environment that you believe could work for you then read on to find out more. ****The role:****We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our team. This role involves working closely with the sales team and internal stakeholders to understand customer requirements, design tailored solutions, and present technical proposals that align with the client’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background ideally in API Management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions. **Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:****Customer Engagement & Strategy:*** Live and promote Tyk Values in all aspects of work. * Engage with customers through meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather requirements and refine solution designs. * Lead sales engineering projects throughout the deal lifecycle, ensuring clear communication within the project team. * Guide clients in understanding API concepts and how to best implement them using Tyk’s solutions. **Technical Expertise & Solution Design:*** Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and business challenges. * Design and architect customised solutions that meet customer requirements and align with strategic goals. * Develop detailed technical proposals, including architecture diagrams, POCs, and implementation plans. * Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation for solutions. * Conduct competitive market analysis to articulate Tyk’s position and advantages. **Collaboration with Internal Teams:*** Work closely with product management, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with company capabilities. * Provide field feedback to shape product development and improvements. * Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create and refine marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with Tyk’s value proposition. * Partner in planning and executing events to attract new prospects and partners. **RFP/RFI Response:*** Lead the technical response to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information), ensuring timely, accurate, and compelling submissions. * Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals. **Technical Documentation:*** Create and maintain technical documentation, such as solution briefs, white papers, and case studies. * Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with company standards. **Continuous Learning:*** Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products. * Enhance technical knowledge through ongoing training, certifications, and self-study. * Actively participate in industry communities to share and gain knowledge. ****Here’s what we’re looking for:******Experience**We are looking for an experienced Architect with a background in an equivalent Pre-Sales role (Sales Engineer, Sales Architect, Solution Consultant). The ideal candidate should possess: * Proven track record of working with both enterprise and startup customers to deliver technical solutions. * Experience working with open-source technology. * Proven track record of quota attainment and working with sales, product, and marketing teams. * Technical expertise should cover a broad set of technologies and domains like: + Experience with programming languages like Golang, Java, and Python, + Familiarity with application development processes, concepts, terminology, and frameworks. + Experience with Public and Private Cloud solution design, + Experience with: - Kubernetes, - Containers, - Docker, - Linux + Experience with API Management and/or managing APIs is highly valuable + Familiarity with Event Broker technologies, Architecture frameworks and best practices. + Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot) . **Skills*** Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts.* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. * Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. * A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and building long-term relationships. ****Here’s why you should join us:***** *Everyone* has unlimited paid holiday. * We have total flexibility in hours, as we believe creativity flows better when our people are given freedom to decide when they are most productive.
