Sales Branch Manager - Road Freight

Location: Bournemouth, UK

Salary: up to £65,000pa (DOE) + Company Car + Bonus (OTE: £90,000pa)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am-5:30pm

Are you a results driven Sales Manager, experienced in Sales and Business Development for UK, EU and International Road Freight? This role could be right for you!

My client is offering a fantastic package to help grow their business and Freight Forwarding sector. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established Freight Sales Manager who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder with knowledge and experience with Road Freight Operations and Sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent freight forwarding services.
  2. Manage new and existing business.
  3. To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
  4. Be the forefront of the company's development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
  5. Lead a team of Business Development Managers and Sales Specialists, ensuring KPIs are met to maximise branch revenue.
  6. Handle financial responsibilities for the branch, including P&L documentation and cost control.

Requirements:
  1. Experience in a management role in the freight/logistics industry.
  2. Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development Manager Experience.
  3. Experience or knowledge of Freight Forwarding Operations.
  4. Experience working for a UK based freight forwarding company.
  5. People Management and Leadership experience.
  6. Ability to bring business would be advantageous.
  7. Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
