Join Our Team as an RN/LPN Pre-Authorization Specialist at Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH)!

Are you an organized, compassionate nurse looking for a meaningful role that blends patient care with coordination? Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) in Blair, NE, is seeking a RN/LPN Pre-Authorization Specialist to play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences.

As a RN/LPN Pre-Authorization Specialist, you'll be the connection between patients, physicians, and multiple hospital departments—including Radiology, Surgery, and Clinics—to coordinate and schedule appointments and procedures. You'll advocate for patients, assist with insurance processes, and help them prepare for upcoming treatments, all while ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

What You'll Do:

  • Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for scheduled and unscheduled procedures.
  • Assist with insurance verification, denials, and financial assistance programs.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring seamless communication between physicians, caregivers, and insurance companies.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and procedures across multiple hospital departments.
  • Educate patients on their upcoming surgeries, procedures, tests, and financial responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Address and resolve patient and family concerns with professionalism and compassion.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current RN or LPN licensure in Nebraska or Iowa.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • BLS certification (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (scheduling experience is a plus!).
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
