Quality Control Manager

Job description

5+ years previous Quality Control and Quality Assurance experience with the ability to improve and implement QC and QA processes and systems.

Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines with a strong focus on reducing/eliminating errors or defects and ensuring that we follow the production schedule.

Responsibilities:

1. Liaising with Production Manager to ensure technical drawings are clearly defined before production (Quality Assurance).
2. Review drawings and anticipate issues with production.
3. Meet quality targets and ensure that product meets the Company’s quality standards.
4. Report to Head Office in London thoroughly, providing quality status updates.
5. Create/utilize quality control documents including QC Checklists and Inspection Minutes (Quote checklist, Production checklist, QC checklist, Packing checklist).
6. Create claim follow up system, preventative actions and quality improvement system.
7. Improve the quality management system for quicker detection of defects and quicker corrective action.
8. As needed, ensure the best solutions and best materials.
9. Assist the Production Manager in pushing suppliers to deliver products on time.
10. Support to assess suppliers’ capacity and their labor compliance standard.
11. Support to inform quality standard and approve samples so suppliers clearly understand the quality requirement.
12. Support training of suppliers in production and final inspections to ensure the highest quality.
13. Report to office in both Saigon and London offices (need excellent English).
14. Reply to all emails within 24 hours.

Communication:

Communicate with UK office:

As we have our main office in the UK, we need to consider the different time zones. There is a requirement for phone/Skype meetings, discussions, updates and some emergencies can arise. Please be able to communicate occasionally during UK business hours (these times are flexible).

Other duties as assigned.

English communication skill is a must skill to have.

Excellent interpersonal skills with suppliers.
